GarryLocal Parish Councillor Garry Weatherall is known to many through his advice surgeries in the Ecclesfield library. For seven Years he has been a City Council-lor for Norton and the new Gleadless Valley Ward. Garry says “I would now be honoured to represent the people of Chapel-town and Ecclesfield in the town hall. This is the area I live and it’s time we had a Labour City Coun-cillor to represent us.”

As a City Councillor Garry has been an Adviser for Parks, Woods and Countryside, Chair of allot-ments, a member of the Fire Authority, on the board for the National Mining Museum and The Peak National Park. He was also a Governor at Chaucer School and St Thomas More Primary School.

Garry says “East Ecclesfield is a lovely place to live with good schools and shops. I understand the concerns of local people about Crime and antisocial behaviour, traffic congestion and the care and preservation of our green spaces. The Government’s already allocated money for Parks and Roads in our area will bring badly needed improvements to Chapeltown and Ecclesfield.”
