Local MP sees off two youngsters running in aid of Sports Relief in Hillsborough Park.

Local MP Angela Smith saw off Ashley and Katy Clark on Sunday as they took part in the Sport Relief run in Hillsborough Park. The two Hillsborough Primary School youngsters have raised over £200 between them doing the sponsored mile.

Pictured with the two kids are mum and dad and Angela Smith, with the cheque for £215 they are presenting to Sport Aid.

Commenting, Angela said,

“I was pleased to see these 2 youngsters, aged 3 and 5,  take part in such a great fund raising event. I personally am amazed at how much individuals have raised by doing these sorts of events. Not only are they fun but they  raise much needed money to help people much worse off than ourselves, both here and abroad.

Well done to both Ashley and Katy and their mum and dad. And well done to all those other people who either took part in the runs or who sponsored others to do so.

As a nation well over £30 million has been raised through Sport Aid, which again just proves how generous  the British people are.”
